IW Hood Pins

Need a bit of extra security against the nightmare of a hood latch letting go without warning? Hood pins are that security. 
There are many good pin options out there, but as will all our other products we like to bring some new features to the table.
We like the classic look of exposed hood pins, but find most kits to be pretty cheap looking, not to mention the tether for traditional pins potentially scratching your paintwork.

Our hood pin design uses a captive stainless steel pin and spring, riding in a groove that allows you to keep the pin retracted when opening the hood. When you close the hood, a simple tap of the handle releases the lock pin and the spring slams it back into place with a satisfying metallic click.

The frame of the pin is a beautifully contoured 5-axis piece of 6061 aluminum, and all other hardware is stainless steel for corrosion resistance.

Each kit comes with 2 full hood pin assemblies (pin with two locking nuts, washers, lock pin assembly, and adhesive backing for installation of the lock pin frame). The aluminum frame is available in anodized black or raw aluminum.
